OpenStudy (aravindg):

How to find area enclosed by this: http://screencast.com/t/suI7frtJXJXe

Miracrown (miracrown):

we need to integrate this so first we should solve for y

Miracrown (miracrown):

actually scratch that >.< we can do it much easier i think

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yep graphical method.

Miracrown (miracrown):

oh wait those are absolute value signs? nevermind haha

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yes those represent absolute value signs.

Miracrown (miracrown):

ok so normally that would equal a circle with a radius of square root of 1 but in this case we only want the positive values of that circle which means both x and y must be positive

Miracrown (miracrown):

|dw:1399202271209:dw| so theres our circle but we have to eliminate any spots where x or y is negative so only the first quadrant works and the radius is 1
