What is the x-intercept of the line that passes through the points (2 , 2) and ( 1, -3)?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Please use the slope formula to find the slope (m) of the line connecting these two points. Next, choose one of these two points. Identify its x- and y-coordinates. Substitute your slope (m) and those x- and y-coordinates into the point-slope equation,\[y-y _{1}m(x-x _{1})\] Finally, simplify your result into the form y=mx+b. That " b " will be the vertical intercept.
