given that each edge measures 4 cm find the total area of the regular tetrahedron

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

( All sides are equal )

OpenStudy (paki):

use frmula.... Ta= (root3)*a^2... here a=4cm...

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

the formula for an equilateral triangle's area is \[A=\frac{1}{4}~\sqrt{3}~s^{2}\] (which by the way can be proven using a formula for regular triangle, and splitting this triangle into 2 30-60-90 triangles)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 square root of 3

OpenStudy (paki):

how you got "8"...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from the formula above

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

which one, the one I posted, or the one that paki posted ?
