OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

do u know what are the basic forms of a quadratic equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sidsiddhartha no

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

they are basically parabola with equations of the form y=ax^2+bx+c or x=ay^2+by+c

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

now consider the first form If "a", the coefficient of x^2, is positive the parabola opens upward. And if "a" is negative the parabola opens downward.

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

and for the second form If "a", the coefficient of y^2, is positive the parabola opens to the right. And if "a" is negative the parabola opens to the left. so ur question involves the first form u getting it?

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

now u can answer easily

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sidsiddhartha yes thank you

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

so what's ur answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sidsiddhartha A and D

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):
