Campsite #1, lookout tower, and campsite #2, form a central angle within the circle. If the angle formed is 120°, describe the relationship between the angle and the arc it intercepts. You must show all work to receive credit.

Well, the length of an arc on a circle (I'll call it "s") is given by: \[s = r \theta\] when theta is in radians. It asks you to "describe the relationship," rather than actually find it. An arc length is the distance around the outside of the circle. If the angle decreases, what happens to the arc length between the points that touch the circle? |dw:1399229491687:dw|
