Please help! Should be easy! Am i right?!

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Where is the mistake?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

I think it is A!

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Check what you uploaded.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Try this one?

OpenStudy (primeralph):

You're wrong.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

step number 7? or option D?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

See step no. 7. They changed 2a to 4a, which is wrong, in the quadratic equation. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in step 6.write ~\pm~ before~ the~ squareroot~on~the~\right.\]

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Oh i see...so it would be step six? Or C?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Is there an option like that? @surjithayer No, the answer is D, step 7 is incorrect. Step 6 is correct because -c/a is what is added to both sides initially. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

step 7 is also incorrect, in step 6 when squareroot is taken +- is written before it.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

I am confused now...is it C or D? If it was wrong at step six that could be why step seven is wrong...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

according to options 7 is incorrect

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

okay thanks :D
