OpenStudy (linn99123):

Which is the graph of 4x – 3y = 24?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you can put it in the form \[y=mb+b\] or you can find the x and y intercepts and then graph it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find it in that form you must get y by itself. \[4x-3y=24\] Subtract 4x on both sides \[-3y=-4x+24\] Divide by -3 on both sides \[y=\frac{ 4 }{ 3 }x+8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So which one have a y-intercept of 8 and goes up 4 and over to the right 3 and that point is still on the line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And above it should should be -8 not +8 To solve using the x and y intercepts do it like this \[4x=24\] \[x=6\] \[-3y=24\] \[y=-8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's A Because the x-intercept is 6 and the y-intercept is -8
