Who is most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? I have to write a persuasive essay on this topic with two direct citations from the book to support my answer which is that Romeo and Juliet were responsible for their own deaths. What are the best ones to use?
Who is the most responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet? I say Friar Lawrence, wouldn't you agree? In the tragedy, Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare is about two young people who fall in love and later die. Without a doubt, a friend of Romeo's by the name of Friar Lawrence, who is partly responsible for the outcome as also Nurse. Ultimately Romeo and Juliet, who take their lives and so saying that they [Friar and Nurse] (are) most likely responsible than anyone else in the play. Friar Lawrence, being partly responsible, at first I didn't believe that Friar was responsible for Romeo and Juliet's death. Friar is a adult and also a priest and has some responsibility in looking over the young. Some say Friar was a mastermind, some even say that he was also behind Juliet from marrying Paris. The plan had some flaws, of course, one of the flaws was not delivering the letter to Romeo and making sure he received it also. Friar tried to stop Juliet from killing herself after Romeo had poisoned himself. There was nothing Friar could do to stop her. Friar offered to hide Juliet himself, to hide her away from whom thought she was dead, but Juliet refused and killed herself to be with the one she loves. As I said, Friar Lawrence is partly responsible for Romeo and Juliet's death, as whom, Nurse. This is why I think Friar Lawrence is responsible for their death.
Hope this has helped.
