Graph: x^2-4x+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I solved it and came up with 2+\[2+\sqrt{8} and 2-\sqrt{8}\]

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\[y=x^{2}-4x+2\] y intercept \[y=(0)^{2}-4(0)+2=2~~~~~\bf ~~~~So,~~~~~(0,2)\] x intercepts \[x^{2}-4x+2=0\]\[x^{2}-4x+2+2=0+2\]\[x^2-4x+4=2\]\[(x-2)^2=2\]\[x-2=±\sqrt{2}\]\[x=2±\sqrt{2}\]I would find the approximate value of x, and graph it using the x and y intercepts, but idk... I haven't graphed these in a while.
