have you heard about "Chargaff's rule"?
Well, I know that A goes with T and G goes with C because they have about the same amount of percentages or something like that.
so his finding implied that AT and GC are paired since they occur in equal amounts. not much really you can infer from this without other people's work.
Yeah, I know. The internet isn't giving me much help either. To bad I wasn't able to check out a book.
hm well i think that's your answer, his works suggested the base pairing.
