csc(2cos^-1(-3/4))

myininaya (myininaya):

I like drawing right triangles for these. csc(2*angle) Let angle (we will call it A) Let A=arccos(-3/4) So cos(A)=-3/4 Draw a right triangle in the second quadrant. I say the second quadrant because cos is negative and arccos only gives outputs between 0 and 180 degrees.

Still have no idea

myininaya (myininaya):

so you have no idea to draw a right triangle in the second quadrant and use the definition of cos to help you label the proper sides with their measurements?

myininaya (myininaya):

if you want to i can check to see if you can draw a right triangle in the second quadrant. just use the draw tool.

csc * cos^-1 i think gives cos * sin since csc is reciprocal of sine and you are multiplying a reciprocal by an inverse.
