An auditorium has 15 rows with 10 seats in the first row, 12 in the second row, 14 in the third row, and so forth. How many seats are in the auditorium?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think the answer could be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

360 seats. Since there are 15 rows and in each row the seat number is increasing by 2. The 15th row will have 38, the 14th=36, the 13th=34 and so on. Then just add the total number of seats.
