Well since we know the acceleration would be the change in speed at a certain time... We can see that the speed definitely changes so there is some acceleration change (B is out) Does the speed go up first or down first? well it goes up...to the acceleration goes up...stops (speed turns constant for some instant and then drops back down) Looks like we would have 3 here

3 is correct. (Sorry. Was busy.) You know the acceleration doesn't decrease and then increase because otherwise there would be a dip(opposite to the graph shown). Also, because there is a slope, you know the acceleration must be changing. When looking at the 2 second mark, the line continues upwards, not downwards. By elimination, the answer is 3. However, by further analysis, the line goes up and then down. That indicates an increase and then a decrease. Hope that helps for future problems modeled similarly.
