Which system of equations is represented by the graph?

mathslover (mathslover):

The equations are not clear. Can you write them clearly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need help getting started I can finish myself if I know what to do

hartnn (hartnn):

since x intercept is 10,0 your numerator must be -x+10 (and not x+10 or -x-10)

hartnn (hartnn):

also since we have 5,5 lie on the line its equation should be x= y it cannot be x= -y

hartnn (hartnn):

does that makes sense ? or you need the reasons for it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its c from that but how do I get that

hartnn (hartnn):

simply by looking at intercepts! thats what i did x intercept was 10,0 for 10+x = 0, x = -10, intercept = -10,0 , so NO for -10 -x =0, x= -10 again, so NO

hartnn (hartnn):

*to find x-intercept, plug in y=0 in the equation*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you very much

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
