What is disjoint and overlapping events

OpenStudy (anonymous):

disjoint means that one event will not effect the other. if i wear green tomorrow, that doesn't mean that it will rain. disjoin also is mutually exclusive events; ones that cannot happen together. So, if A and B are mutually exclusive and A happens, then you definitely know that B does not happen.<<< i got this from yahoo
