e^5x=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/e^5 Hope this helps you!!!(;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you give me steps??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have toconvert it into log equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know the steps. But I put 2/e^5 onto a Mathway calculator, for Log equations, and got ln(2)=5. Hope this is better(:

hartnn (hartnn):

that was \(e^{5x} =2\) ? if so, taking natural log (ln) on both sides, \(\ln e^{5x} = \ln 2 \\ 5x \ln e = \ln 2 \quad \quad (\ln e =1 ) \\ 5x = \ln 2 \\ x = \dfrac{\ln 2 }{5}\)
