Use cosine law

i havent learned the cosine law yet thats my next topic

AC = AD + DC 16= x+ DC DC = 16-x Here we can see that: BD is angle bisector of angle ABC so by using angle bisector property we find: \[\huge \frac{BA}{BC}=\frac{AD}{DC} \rightarrow \frac{36}{28}=\frac{x}{16-x}\] i.e. 36(16-x) = 28x i.e. 576 -36x= 28x i.e. 576 = 36x+ 28x i.e. 576= 64x \[\huge x= \frac{576}{64}=9\] Hence x=9 is the required answer. @Itp1212
