I have to write a memoir of something for my creative writing class, and I'm stuck. It's not that I don't have any ideas, because our teacher gave us a list. BUT the one that people have suggested I do, I don't know how. Can anyone help me?
The question is: What regrets do you have? @halorazer @hihi67 @Redneck_Jake @Whitemonsterbunny17 @timaashorty Help me out guys? :)
Well, that's more of a personal question type thing... so like what regrets do you have about stuff that either you have done or didn't do?
Since it's more of a personal question, do you think I shouldn't do it? I mean, I have a list of others.
For the Memoir: - have you ever stolen something? -have you lied? - did someone have an accident? -did someone you care about died? - a best party? -best birthday -best surprise - a fight you got in? -loosing your best friend? - leaving someone? - you had an argument with your parents? - the best day or your life? - scary night? What are the other assignments you can do about?
Hey, thanks! These ideas are a lot less personal than 'what regrets do i have'. I might do the fourth one, or the one about losing my best friend
No problem [: Glad I was able to help. You need help starting it or something just tag me.
alright i figured i would just give a few sentences about my best friend or someone i cared about died, and then for the rest of the page, do a little flashback thing. Because it has to be like a story, not an essay. If anything, I'll post it up later when I'm done, and I'll tag you in it :)
Okay ,good luck![=
thanks
Losing someone I cared about: my best friend My best friend wasn't just another kid at school that I could share secrets with and hang out with on the weekends. My best friend couldn't just leave me one day, but she did. My best friend was my grandmother, and I lost her when she passed away four and a half years ago. *Flashback time* I was sitting on the top bunk of my bed, my eyes red and puffy. I had lost her, and she couldn’t just come back. This wasn’t one of those pranks where she would pop out of the casket and yell surprise. She was dead. There was a soft knock on my door, and in walked my step-mom. She walked over and looked at me. She reached for my hand, but I pulled away abruptly. “Hey. How’re you holding up with everything kiddo?” Her voice was soft. I just sniffled and started to cry more. I shoved my head phones on and turned my music up to drown out the world. *Flashback end* So, losing someone I cared about also meant losing my best friend. I’d confide in her in my times of need, and once she left, I had nobody. I had that feeling deep in my chest, and I wanted… I needed it to go away. It felt as if I hated her for leaving me. Four and a half years later, I still question God as to why he stole her from me. @timaashorty
@halorazer @hihi67 @Redneck_Jake @Whitemonsterbunny17 @timaashorty you guys wanna check the finished product?
I think it looks amazing. It's very touching, and well written. I can relate because I lost my grandmother in 2008, so I give my condolences to you. But yeah, it looks great to me!! (:
Thank you, and my condolences to you as well. It's been rough not having her around, because she was kind of like the glue that kept our house together. After she was gone, things completely fell apart....
