OpenStudy (anikate):

find the number of possible 5-card hands that contain the cards specified: 4 aces and 1 king.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you ignore the order, four of the cards are the aces, and the fifth card is a king from one of the four suits, so you have four possible hands of this type.

OpenStudy (anikate):

why only 4? shouldnt we have more? @douglaswinslowcooper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

four aces + either king of clubs, diamonds, hearts , spades. if different order counts as "different" hand, then many more possible hands, but most card players would ignore the order in which the cards came.

OpenStudy (anikate):

is there an equation for it? permutation or combination?
