Factor x2 + 6x + 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that x squared?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You sure? 0.0 it's just 2x?

>_> I need to know if it's x^2 or 2x. It makes a big difference.

|dw:1399351234171:dw| Thus, the answer is (x+2)(x+4). To get the top number, multiply the coefficient of x^2(which is 1) by the last number(which is 8). The coefficient of the middle number, 6x, is placed at the bottom. The numbers on the right and left should add up to the bottom and multiply to equal the top. Hope that helps!
