OpenStudy (annie96):

How many solutions does this system of equations have? y = 5x – 4 y = 5x + 2 (Points : 1) infinitely many 0 1 2

OpenStudy (pinksapphire):

None.

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

If you notice the lines, you'd see that there slopes are equal. That is, if you take it in this form: y = mx + c [m = slope = 5 for both the equations/lines] So when we have liens with equal inclinations/slope, they are always parallel to each other. |dw:1399351834544:dw| That means, they never intersect. :)

OpenStudy (pinksapphire):

y can't have 2 different solutions...

OpenStudy (annie96):

Ok thank you.

OpenStudy (pinksapphire):

If they had different slopes then they would have solution(s).
