There is a simple power relationship, between the period of the vibrations, T, and the mass attached to the spring, m (as in the equation below, where r is rational – an integer or a fraction). given by, T is proportional to m^2 1.You do not need to know the mass of the magnet to investigate the proportionality. Why? For what purpose would you need to know the mass of the magnet? 2. The period of a simple pendulum is given by, T = 2 \pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g}} If this was the case for the cantilever, what value of r would you expect? What would be the shape of the grapg of T vs m? stuck
