well normal heroes have superpowers while Batman has regular skills like fighting and he has a cape that lets him glide through the air. Iron Man has that robot looking suit that comes with special 'accesories' that help him fight and fly.

Neither Iron Man nor Batman actually have supernatural abilities; but they do both possess other means of obtaining "crime fighting abilities". Batman/Bruce Wayne is exceedingly wealthy and has excessive combat training (virtually all hand-to-hand); not to mention he is intelligent.

Iron Man is incredibly intelligent and creative. Using his smarts he creates gadgets to help him fight crime; his greatest creation being his mech-suit. His "mech-suit" has the ability of flight, lasers, etc, as well as a built in AI known as Jarvis.

If I remember my super heros correctly neither Batman or Iron Man were injected with anything to be super heros. They both weren't born with anything other than brains. They both ran important companies that gave them resources. They both invented their own cool gadgets.
