does anyone speak french -___-
Describe where the following poeple are going on vactation in a complete french sentence, and using the appropriate preposistion ( a,en,au,aux,de,de la, des, du) 9. Tu,aller,Paris 10. Sophie, aller,France 11.Nous,aller,Etats-unis 12. Vous, rentrer, suisse 13. Ils,rentrer,Etats-unis 14. Elle, rentrer, italie
I can correct your sentences. type what you got so far.
9. Tu aller a paris 10. sophie va a france 11. nous allons a etats-unis thats all so far
9. Tu vas à Paris. 10. en* France instead of "a France". 11. aux* instead of à
12.vous etes retourne a partir de la suisse 13. ils reviennent des etats-unis 14. elle revient d'italie
What you did is quite good but you are not using the proposed verbs. 12. should be: Vous «rentrez» en Suisse. for 13 and 14, you should also use "rentrer" (rentre, rentres, rentre, rentrons, rentrez, rentrent).
13 and 14 which one?
13. rentre 14. rentrez
you are using the verb "revenir". 13. is plural (3rd): rentrent 14. is singular (3rd): rentre
so ils retrent des etats-unis and elle rentre italie?
If you want to say "they go back to the US", it will be "Ils rentrent aux Etats-Unis". If you want to say "they come back from the US", it will be "Ils rentrent des Etats-Unis".
same things for Italy: "en Italie" (back to Italy) or "d'Italie" (from Italy).
other than that they are correct?
""ils retrent des etats-unis and elle rentre italie?"" .first one is correct (except the spelling of rentrent, but it's a typing mistake right?) The sentence is gramatically correct and means that people are coming back from the US. . in the second one, there's no preposition. choose according to the meaning you want..
elle rentre en italie?
and that would mean...?
(hte grammar is fine)
she returned to italy
that's correct.
sweet! thanks!!
