OpenStudy (amonoconnor):

When determining the volume of the solid formed by revolving the area constrained by the curves below using the Shell Method, is the shell height y^2? (Also: rotation is about the x-axis) The lines: y = x^(1/2) y = (x - 2) y = 0 Any and all help is greatly appreciated! :)

OpenStudy (amonoconnor):

Hey @AccessDenied! Would you be willing to help me on this one? :)

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

Does it specify the axis of rotation here or is it supposed to be y=0?

OpenStudy (amonoconnor):

It is rotated (revolved) about the x-axis. :)
