can someone check this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the height of a square pyramid that has a volume of 75 cubic feet and a base length of 5 feet. i got 9 ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I get, too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you i got more if you can help me with them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sergio has two similar cylindrical pots, Pot A and Pot B. The radius of Pot A is 15 inches, and the radius of Pot B is 3 inches. What is the ratio of the volume of Pot A to the volume of Pot B? i got 125:1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do they have the same height?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think so since they are "similar"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Assume that they have the same height, so, V1 = \(\pi R_1^2h\) V2=\(\pi R_2^2h\) and \(R_1 = 5R_2\) so that, if replace to the first one you have V1 = \(\pi(5R_2)^2h\) V2 = \(\pi R_2^2 h\) make the ratio: \(\dfrac{V1}{V2}= \dfrac{\pi 25R_2^2h}{\pi R_2^2h}\) simplify, you have the ration is 25:1 Don't know why you got 125:1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops i meant 25:1 i accidentally added 1
