You have to multiply them to get the quadratic form:
\[a ^{2}x+bx+c=0\], a, b and c= are coefficients.
Then you subsitute them in this formula
\[x=\frac{ -b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac} }{ 2a }\]
