can someone check if my answer is correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What shape could be rotated about the y-axis as shown below to form a square pyramid? Sphere Cone Cylinder None of the above <----- my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay i got more can you see if you can check them i can open it on a new one so you can get more medals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey, no need to do. I don't like medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just post here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The picture below shows a container that Rene uses to freeze water. What is the minimum number of identical containers that Rene would need to make 2000 cm3 of ice? (Use π = 3.14.) 27 9 <------ my answer 14 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are good enough to pass the course. hehehe. I am useless here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i feel like i just want to make sure just in case @OOOPS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the diameter of a cone that has a volume of 83.74 cubic inches and a height of 5 inches. Use 3.14 for pi. and i got 4 if you round

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how can you know other people is better or worse than you? how can you trust me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats true but i feel like i i get the same answer and so does the other person they it must be right cause we can't make the same mistake coincidentally you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for this one, I got 7.99 , so that if round, it should be 8 my work: V =\(\dfrac{\pi r^2 h}{3}\) so that \(r^2 = \dfrac{3V}{\pi h} =\dfrac{3*83.74}{3.1415*5}= 15.99\) --> r =\(\sqrt{15.99}= 3.99 , but that is radius, the question is about diameter --> d = 2r = 7.99 near 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok btw thank you for showing your work it helps me understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A cone has a volume of 6 cubic inches. What is the volume of a cylinder that the cone fits exactly inside of? i got 16in cubed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how? |dw:1399443117519:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6*3 = 18, not 16 we have the formula like this. the cone inside: \(\large V_{cone} = \dfrac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h\) and the volume of the cylinder outside \(\large V_{cylinder}= \pi r^2 h\) so that the \(3V_{cone}= V_{cylinder}\) and our V(cone ) is = 6 --> V(cylinder )= 18 got me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i though i said 18 lol thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the area of a circle with a diameter of 22 inches. Use 3.14 for pi. i got 379.94 in squared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yay i'm so happy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are 252 pieces of candy in a 14-ounce jar. How many pieces of candy are there per ounce in the jar? this i got 18 cause 252/14 = 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good student. you are correct again.:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you btw this is the last one The volume of a fish tank is 20 cubic feet. If the density is 0.2fish over feet cubed, how many fish are in the tank? p = md 0.2 = m/20 20 * 0.2 = m m = 4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay thank you for the help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i only got 1 question wrong but its ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gtg sleep its late but i really apreciate all the help and kidness

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kindness^*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, I go to bed too. just relax a little bit. I have a bunch of thing to do for my final '

OpenStudy (anonymous):
