Checking my answer :) Evaluate the integral x^2 (2+x^3)^(1/2) dx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{?}^{?}x ^{2}\sqrt{2+x ^{3}}dx\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's an indefinite integral

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My answer was

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2(x ^{3}+2)^{3/2}+c\]

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

looks like you need a 2/9 out front not a 2...

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

you can always check your answer by taking the derivative, it should be the same as the original integral

ok, thanks
