Explain how and why european diseases did more to destroy the people of south america (Inca,Maya,Aztecs) than the wars and take over by the Spanish Portuguese

Because when one person catches a disease, that disease spreads, and as that disease spreads it infects and kills more people. Now with the war people get shot and have a good chance at surviving the wound. Now i know you might ask "How come they couldn't survive the disease", because the doctors at this time could not find a good cure.

They were not used to that type of diseases, the could not fight it unlike wars. :) Hope that helped!

Think of it like the influenza of 1918, killed a ton of people. This is because it was unsuspected and no one had a cure for it therefore it was unstoppable and no way to fight it. :)
