Help pleaseeee :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (yttrium):

first you must know how to evaluate f(g(x)). do you know @vachave412 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of.. what I really don't get is the part where you plug in x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean I get that part but ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's the first step right? plug in 31 for x

OpenStudy (yttrium):

not yet

OpenStudy (yttrium):

evaluate f(g(x)), that is, 9(sqrt(x+5))+1,

OpenStudy (yttrium):

then that is the time to plug in x = 31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im stuck.. :/ f(sqrt of x+5)=9(sqrt of x+5) +1 ?

OpenStudy (yttrium):

yeah that is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 55?

OpenStudy (yttrium):

yup
