FAN && MEDAL!!! Sorry, but nobody will help me in science... I figured somebody here could :D Can somebody help me, or point me in the right direction? I'm a little confused... The following map was created using modern technology to determine the overall temperature of the oceans. Explain how this map could relate to a salinity map. In your explanation, discuss at least three specific locations on the map.
Hey. I'll try to help you because I know what it's like to be stuck on problems and not have anyone to ask. I'd say that you can relate this La Nina map to the El Nino Map and I'm trying to find 3 locations of it right now.
3 Locations on the La Nina map are Northern China, Korea and Japan and those locations are all cool. They are also typical conditions for La Nina.
Oh, you're awesome!!! :D Thank you so much!!!
It feels nice helping others out haha. You're welcome. :)
Hmm not TOO sure what the question is asking... But salinity is the saltiness of the sea water... Generally in colder temps...the water is less salty... This is because the water, when water, expands and covers more area....more area means more salt (less dense...but more salt) Here you can find something good about this...it compares 2 maps Temp vs Salinity http://www.classzone.com/books/earth_science/terc/content/investigations/es2202/es2202page02.cfm
Haha "this is because the water, when water" lol typo there.... *water, when WARMER*
Also thats a good couple maps to look at... you can discuss how at SOME locations...even though the temp is high...the salinity is low...odd but good discussion etc... :)
Oh my gosh, thank you so much!! :D
Anytime :)
