6(y-1)=4y-14 how to solve easiest?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well firstly, you need to distribute the 6 into the expression (y-1) so that\[6(y-1)=6y-6\]that way your entire equation will look like this\[6y-6=4y-14\]now all you need to do is move all the Y-terms to one side, and all the non Y terms to the other side, that should be easy so go ahead and give it a shot and tell me what you get.
