the polynomial (x-2) is a factor of the polynomial f(x)=4x^2-6x-4.. This is true right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we have factor x -2 that is x-2=0 ==> x = 2 So just put x= 2 in f(x) if f(x) = 0 then that should be factor of f(x)
