solve 3sin^2(θ) - 4sin(θ) - 4 = 0?

treat sin theta as t, so you have 3t^2 -4t -4=0, solve for t, then plug back to get theta

the same for the second part, just manipulate a little bit on cos (2 theta) = 1-2sin^2 (theta),
