Who first spoke of the iron curtain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Winston Churchill gave a speech titled "the sinews of peace" in Fulton, Missouri, in 1946. in that speech he was warning the world of the threat that was posed by a powerful Soviet Union. he said that an "iron curtain had descended across the continent." some believe that his speech marked the beginning of the cold war.
