All.I.Want.Is.For.Someone.To.Help.Me.With.My.Question.I'm.Not.Asking.For.A.Direct.Answer.When.I.Do.Tag.Someone.They.Never.Come.It.Gets.Me.Frustrated.And.To.Be.Honest.I.Don't.Want.To.Hear.Well.This.Website.Is.Free.Well.Duh.I.Know.That.But.I.Come.Here.For.Help.And.I.Am.Always.Very.Thankful.For.Any.Help.And.I.Know.All.I.Can.Do.And.Say.Is.Thank.You.Medal.The.Person.And.Fan.Them.I.Just.Really.Personally.Believe.That.People.Who.Are.Able.To.Help.Should.Not.Always.Be.In.The.Chat.Rooms.But.Actually.Helping.The.People.That.Want.To.Learn.And.Want.To.Be.Helped.

Some of us are NEVER in the chat rooms, but we are busy helping other people. Or maybe we took a look at the problem and concluded we didn't have anything constructive to say. Or maybe, despite what it looks like, we aren't actually at our computer. Other people may have other reasons for not answering.

This isn't to offend anybody, And I never said every single helper is in the chat rooms, But i do see a lot is all I am saying, And yeah some people may be afk but every single time? All I am asking for is help right? From A website that can help right?

How many questions have you answered? You realize that there isn't a paid staff here to answer your questions? There are volunteers who answer questions because they enjoy doing so.

I've answered as much as I know , And what did I say . I KNOW ITS A FREE SITE. But people come to enjoy answering questions but yet There's barely any one helping. If you know that you help people then so be it i'm obviously not talking about you

Also sometimes moderators put up the hardest questions. But every one jumps to go answer it, just cause its a moderator. I mean I can't tell you how to run your website or whatever but This is just how I'm feeling

Again, there's no staff, there's no schedule that says "Joe S., you answer Algebra I questions from 1700-2300 PDT 6 nights a week", people answer as they are available to help and interested in the problem at hand. How exactly do you propose that OpenStudy meet your needs better? If you're asking questions about anything other than math, you'll find that getting help on the same schedule you're complaining about is a really good day for getting help :-)

I get enough questions from people I've helped in the past that just catching up on the questions I've been asked while away will usually occupy an hour or more. If I'm not here for a longer time than that, I may not get around to doing any browsing for new questions to answer!

Ganeshie lives in India, so he's on a different schedule than those of us who seem to be in the US.

Yeah true. and @whpalmer4 I understand that , and I am also clear of that, I'm just stating that people who do want to help others and the people that want to be helped should get together because i mean we are both getting what we wanted in that case. and also I believe you've helped me in the past , so you know i really don't have anything against you or anybody to be straight and forward

I know how it feels. Not everyone thinks the same as you do, so you've gotta except everyone. Obviously the world can't be the same, having differences between one another is what makes us who we're! :)
And also take in consideration that not everyone is out there to help you all the time. And be with you 24/7. And when you do tag someone then you need not to accept them to just come asap. They might be busy helping others, and might tune in with you once they are done. Or they might be AFK, who know's ?
You just can assume that if you've tagged someone and they don't respond that means that they are ignoring you. So remember to think before you jump to conclusions. :-]

Nobody's making wrong assumptions accept for maybe you Mira you assume that SOS thinks that everyone needs to come to his question and help him on his time . He obviously said that he is getting frustrated because not only today but many times on different occasions no one is there to help. Giving that there is 150+ people online and no one to answer it makes it frustrating especially because some really smart people get caught up in the chat boxes and he isn't ranting he is giving you his honest opinion as I am as well.
