Why might funds from a deposited check not be available on the day of deposit? It was made to a bank teller. It was made into an old account. It was larger than usual deposits. It was an account transfer from the same bank
It was larger than usual deposits.
Having worked at a bank I remember some of the reasons: it takes a few days to find out if the check has sufficient funds the check may be from someone whose account is closed. It prevents the bank from losing money. - if check is "bad", it prevents someone from depositing that check then withdrawing the cash on the same day even though there is no money backing up that check. Well there are 3 reasons, none of which match any of your multiple choice answers. LOL
