We an add 25 to both sides... \[\large 4x^2 = 25\] Take the square root of both sides... \[\large \sqrt{4x^2} = \sqrt{25}\] \[\large 2x = \pm 5\] Divide both sides by 2 \[\large x = \pm \frac{5}{2}\]
