t the allele for red be R, and the allele for white be r. R is dominant and r is recessive. Homozygous animals are the color determined by the allele they have. Heterozygous animals are the color of the dominant allele they have. Draw a Punnett square that shows the results of a cross between a homozygous red bull (RR) and a heterozygous red cow (Rr). Be certain to title your Punnett square and indicate each parent.

I don't understand punnet squares

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Their super easy once you get the hang of it, so I'll help explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is the table. that comes with it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so when using a punnet square, you are usually trying to figure out what the chance of a trait being present in an offspring is. In this case the color.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You will need the two parents allele's. Heterozygous means the two alleles will be different, so Rr. Homozygous means that the two alleles will be the same, RR or rr.

You're punnet square will look like this: |dw:1399567378598:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your not you're sorry. Anywho, the next step is to fill in the punnett square. Do you know how to fill it in?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1399567371571:dw| so would it be like this for the first one?
