you are using a half angle for sin. So you know that sin is -12/13 . I don't remember the l=half angle for sin, sorry.

I don't see this as a question involving a trig identity. Rather, you are asked to find the angle in the second quadrant that has a cosine value equal to -5/13. Please consider drawing this angle in the 2nd quadrant. Use the Draw utility, below.
