I Been doing some thinking.....Why don't the Ambassadors have a Color...The Moderators are purple.....Why not Make the Ambassadors Blue,Black..Or something..Or why not make the Moderators Black or something..And make the Ambassadors Purple since their (A) is purple......
@thomaster
I hope this is a good idea

They have an A.
They should be able to have an color...
It's an excellent idea - but the Ambies already have a distinguishing badge. There are other less cosmetic aspects of running the site and implementing new developments for the coders to spend their time on. Let's focus on the important stuff, leave colours and borders for later. :)
*sigh*
I kind of disagree with you Jordan, we ambassadors already have the purple A. If we had a different color username more users would mistake us for moderators. They'd demand we come if there is a situation going on, when we can't do anything more than say "hey these are the rules". Yes we may have the side note saying "ambassador" or "moderator" but it would cause too much confusion. I've been asked several times by users why I "suspended them" or "gave them a warning". It can be a little tough from time to time having to explain the difference of an ambassador and a moderator. But having a specific color for a username would cause too much commotion and confusion. The purple A is good enough, the purple username for moderators is also good enough. I like your idea Jordan, hopefully these explanations and examples will help you understand why it wouldn't work out that much. c:
*sigh* you don't understand either
This was actually discussed by admin some time ago, and decided against at this point. Blues has listed some of the reasons. An A or a color, they are still differentiated. We also discussed making it something other than an A because A starts many words and is used by some sites to mean Admin. That was also decided against. It is just one of those things where the priority is so low that it won't happen.
You don't know how many times a day people ask me to delete their accounts, suspend people, or look into records because they think I am an Administrator.

To answer to ... The.... and .... Thank you.
Don't you think of other colors you can make Ambassadors another color...All they would want to know is what does that mean You could tell them End of story...They have a Special Position they Deserve and Special Color.....
I like my color.
A Moderator may want another color too...and let the Ambassador have the Purple or Blue...
Since the OpenStudy Owl is Blue..Why don't the Moderator have Blue?
The whole point of the purple name is that it's very noticeable on the page since there are no other site elements other than the ambi A that have his color. The mods used to have a green name, and that didn't really stand out between all the other green on the site. So they made it purple. What's the point of blue lights on police cars? It's very noticeable. As for the ambi \(\Large\bf\color{#872af0}{Ⓐ}\), it's already an extra addition to ambi accounts. I don't really see the point of changing it to a specific color. It wouldn't really change anything, just some cosmetic aspects. They could change the purple mod names to a normal name with a \(\Large\bf\color{#872af0}{Ⓜ}\) in front of it. Nothing big changes. And as you see the ambassadors are fine with just the A, so no reason to change it.
I no one like my ideas then don't COMMENT
If you can't handle negative feedback, then don't suggest things.
This is the feedback section. The whole purpose is to voice opinions with your peers and superiors.
o-o grrrrr.....
TheRealMeeee, all the points mentioned here are based on their opinions, and they have the right to express what they believe. Though, I will say, this may be a good idea but, not now! As , ambassadors are just like normal users, like you! We're no more different from normal users. We're just given a complimentary purple "A" which is enough for what we do. Though, "if" in future , we get some powers or some more duties and responsibilities, then I think, we could deserve to get a color to make us different from others. Though, I think, I have also had many messaged stating , why I suspended him or why I warned him/her etc. And those are not just less but are plenty. Moderators do a lot of hard work to maintain the discipline and decorum of OpenStudy. They are good enough to get any color. But, yes, it doesn't make any difference if you are having a color for your usernames or purple A , as the thing which matters is How much are you helping others? Are you nice to others? etc. If a user is a moderator/ambassador and doesn't behave nicely, then of course there is no merit of the appearance he/she has. But fortunately, we have no such mods/ambis , all are hard working and responsible. That is what, which makes OpenStudy stand on its aim. I myself, thought that Ambassadors should have an appearance like mods have, but, as the time goes on, you become more and more mature and think about all aspects. I now think, that what we have now is good enough! Don't think that you have bad idea or we are just making you feel down by criticizing but we're not criticizing you. It has happened with me many times when I posted an idea and no one liked it :P I myself felt very bad that time, but as I said, with time, you become more mature to accept the truth.
Dude... just listen to them. They think your idea is good but they already have a distinguisher... The ambi A. Even I think your idea is good. It just needs some work, that's all. Don't feel bad. We all have problems we can't solve sometimes. c:
