cos^2(θ)+1=2cos^2(θ)+sin^2(θ)

sinθ + cosθ cotθ = cscθ

Could someone help me solve these problems please and verify the identities? I need to be walked through it and I don't know what I'm doing so don't tell me to just do some formula or whatever because I won't know what you're talking about... I need to show work. This is an extra credit assignment, but I desperately need the points.
