An author wants to show that a character is growing up and starting to realize his or her potential. What setting would be appropriate to symbolize this change? A beach A field of blooming flowers A lakeside cottage An airport
@iambatman , I know this really isn't your thing, but is the right answer A Field of Blooming flowers? I just want to make sure..
Oh english...the most subjective subject of all..mhm
Because, like, it COULD be an airport to.. right?
I don't see how exactly it could be an airport, maybe a blooming of flowers...since as you're growing and learning you're blooming (expanding) like flowers, I guess..haha, sorry I'm not really good with questions like these, since they're always subjective, but teachers expect you to give the "right" answer, when there isn't one.
I know right! I just thought it could be an airport to, like the analogy of spreading you wings and flying, and leaving to go do new things, or something like that.
They need to clarify it I guess, they should've put airplane, but I guess airport could work to o_O
I'll just go with the flowers though, that seems like the safest bet.
I'll call back up! She's pretty good at english. @beccaboo333
I hate questions like this so so so so much, because it's only a five question test so if you get one question wrong you get an automatic B.
Yup, I somehow got a A in my english course last semester...and really I'm terrible at the subject..don't know how I pulled that off. Beach could somewhat work? Looking towards the vast ocean realizing there's much to learn, and looking at the sun as it rises, realizing you're growing up as it rises, etc...I'm just making things up now >_>
Maybe I'm just a poet and idk it yet?
OMG I didn't even conceder that until now.. UGH *major face palm*
It's pretty funny how they give you a noun and you have to imagine the whole scenario in your head. Lol, it's alright, what was the right answer?
I havent turned in the test yet, give me 3 min ok? :)
Oh no worries, take your time, it's your test haha!
OMG this next question -_-
An author wants to show that a character is growing up and is on her way to college. What season would be an appropriate setting for the character's story? Spring Summer Fall Winter
???? HOw am I supposed to know that ?????
Batman.. come look.. )-)
Fall or Winter
Why?!?! .-. these questions are horrible. I have a C in LA and I really cant afford to fail another test. D:
College/ University the semesters (well here) usually start in the winter (first term) and fall (second term)...hence it's called winter term and fall term. And uh oh, Idk if I'm the right person for these questions then lol...I'm terrible at english.
Oh, Thats ok, I'll just wing it.
Sorry >.<, I'll try tagging more people and see if they can help you.
@e.mccormick @esshotwired @Destinymasha Got a minute? :P
It's fine! I got the College one wrong, and the Blooming one right, (It was not fall, It was Spring) -_- These questions are terrible..
So you don't need help now?
Oh whattttttttt, haha least the blooming one is right. Spring? I don't see why spring..oh I guess it says "on the way" to college, not yet in college.
Nah, but Thanks anyway! ^-^
Sorry about the college one Cydney...like I said I'm not the best person for this >.<, spring that still seems odd, maybe it's because I'm Canadian, and I'm so used to the snow..lool
It's ok! ^-^
