Paycheck = Base Salary + Commission

We are told
Paycheck = $4,819.40 and
Base Salary = $1,540.00

$4,819.40 = $1,540.00 + Commission

Solve for Commission.

Commission = Rate * Sales

We are told
Rate = 7.6%

Commission = 7.6% * Sales

ok so x=3279.40 for commission then x by 7.6% gives me 249.2344, so my question is do I move the decimal two places to the right or is it $249.23
