How do you stop getting notifications from a post you answered?

Currently, there is no such way to stop getting notifications from a post you answered (if you're talking about notifications on OS and not on email). Though, it has been suggested many times to the OS Admins to make a feature which allows us to unsubscribe a question if we don't want to get notifications from that particular post. And I think, they're working on many of the features. Let us just wait and see the magic! :)

I wonder about that. I don't think OpenStudy has ever made any big change ever since SmartScore.

Well there have been many successful changes since SS like New ambassador program, Mobile App, better look for the home page etc. Not much big changes but yes there have been 2-3 big changes (Ambi program and Mobile App) . OS Newsletter is also included in that. Also, I will suggest you stay updated on OpenStudy's FB Page as well as on http://blog.openstudy.com/ . As these two sites/pages will help you better know what is exactly going on behind the scenes :) Just like, the shooting is done for 1-2 years for a film and suddenly it is released and it just gives a big smile on the public, similarly, I am sure, OS Admins have something to give us as surprise this year! Till then, support OpenStudy by helping students with their doubts and problems. Cheers! :)

You can turn off your notifications completely.. You'd go into settings and turn off your notifications. I'm pretty sure.
