To accurately measure out 35 milliliters of liquid, you should use: a 10-mL glass pipette several times a 50-mL beaker a 25-mL graduated cylinder two times a 50-mL graduated cylinder one time Thank you in advance!
We need to measure 35 mL of liquid. Let us analyze whether we will be able to measure 35 mL of liquid by using them or not : i) 10 mL glass pipette several times So, in order to measure 35 mL, I can measure it like 10 *3 + 5 mL So, I can measure 35 mL of liquid by 10 mL glass pipette several times ii) 50 mL beaker I surely can not measure 35 mL by using a 50 mL beaker having no divisions as such to measure small measurements than 50 mL. So, this option can not the answer. iii) 25 mL graduated cylinder two times Half of 25 mL is 12.5 mL So, I can measure 25 mL , (25 + 12.5 mL = 37.5 mL) , 50 mL and so on So, I again can not measure 35 mL using this graduated cylinder. iv) 50 mL graduated cylinder one time Again, I can not measure 35 mL liquid through this cylinder ( I have assumed that "two times" here mean - It has only one line on it dividing it into 2 parts)
Thank you and sorry for the late reply!
