Setting and Theme in "The Cabuliwallah": "Setting and mood are important elements in many of these stories. Choose one story [The Cabuliwallah] and describe some aspects of its setting: where it takes place; what mood is created by the details of weather place and time, and how this setting helps to convey the theme of the story."
Basically, the assignment is to select a work that we read in this unit (I chose "The Cabuliwallah") and describe how the setting helps convey the theme. I think the theme is about learning to overcome prejudgement of others before you know them, but if someone could start me by pointing outone or two examples that would be great! The story can be found here: http://www.is.wayne.edu/MNISSANI/Fall2003/Cabuliwallah.htm
