Please determine whether this is an ARITHMETIC sequence or a GEOMETRIC sequence. How do you get from 12 to 34? From 34 to 56? Also, please invest the effort into typing your possible answers as fractions if that's what they are:21/20, and so on.

Hints: 1) Subtract 12 from 34. Subtract 34 from 56. What do the results tell you? 2) I see no reason to involve fractions in this problem.
