OpenStudy (conqueror):

Matthew filled his garden with 12 cubic feet of organic dirt. The garden is a rectangular prism with a volume V =lwh where l is length , w is width, and h is depth. If the garden is 1 1 1/2 feet deep and 2 feet wide, how long is the garden? 2 feet 3 feet 4 feet 5 feet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if its a cube then multiply the Depth and width and you have the Area not volume of 2 of the sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that supposed to be 11.5 feet deep btw?

OpenStudy (conqueror):

When I multiply 1 1/2 by 2 I get 3 feet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now thats 3 square feet right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So that means its side are 3 square feet "Long" you could say. |dw:1399651650207:dw|
